Your Guide to the Hilton Head Half Marathon, Marathon, and 8K
About the Event
If you’re seeking a heart-pumping race that winds through some of the Lowcountry’s most beautiful surroundings, look no further than the Hilton Head Half Marathon, Marathon, or 8K! This course’s relatively flat terrain makes for a fast, high-energy race that’s suitable for both the young and old. Whether you’re in it to win it or to simply enjoy some fresh air, you’ll have an amazing time (and receive a medal for finishing)! The first three males and females to finish will win an assortment of unique prizes. There’s even a team relay option (men’s, women’s, co-ed, or corporate). Proceeds from the event will benefit Hilton Head area charities!
When Does the Race Take Place?
The next Hilton Head Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 8:00 a.m. Be sure to mark your calendar! The Lowcountry’s winter temperatures make for a crisp and refreshing run surrounded by gorgeous scenery. After the main races, be sure to stick around for the craft beer garden, live music, door prizes, a children’s “fun run,” and the awards ceremony (one after each race).
Where to Go
This Boston Qualifier circuit encompasses several of the island’s most stunning communities including Spanish Wells, Point Comfort, and Honey Horn Plantation. Before the races begin, you’ll want to arrive at Jarvis Creek Park. Find it at 100 Jarvis Creek Road on Hilton Head!
